How many pieces of lefse are in one package?

Our 8 oz. package contains two rounds that are approximately 13” in diameter.

What should I do with the lefse when it arrives?

Our lefse is shipped fresh. If you are not going to eat it right away, it can be refrigerated for 2 to 3 days. Otherwise, it is best if you place it in the freezer the day you receive it.

What is the shelf life of the lefse?

Our lefse does not contain preservatives. It will stay fresh in the refrigerator about 3 days. Lefse will keep in the freezer for several months. You can freeze it in the package we ship it. However, It is best removed from the plastic bag we package it in and stored unfolded in a freezer container with a piece of wax paper between each round.

How should I thaw the lefse?

Take the lefse out of the freezer and completely thaw at room temperature (about 1½ hours before serving). Do not thaw in the refrigerator. It is best to open the package when thawing to allow moisture to escape.

What is the best way to serve lefse?

Lefse is traditionally served rolled up with butter and sugar, but there are plenty of ways to enjoy it. Try it with cinnamon sugar, meats and cheeses, spreads, or use it as a soft wrap for your favorite fillings. For the best texture, thaw frozen lefse completely at room temperature before serving. Yes! Norsland Lefse ships lefse year-round, including during the holiday season. Because holiday demand increases, we recommend ordering early and freezing your lefse until you’re ready to serve it. Lefse freezes well for several months, making it easy to have it ready for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or other gatherings.

Yes! Norsland Lefse offers subscriptions with deliveries monthly or every other month. This is the worst lefse I have ever had. i kept out one pkg & we can't even eat that. Very dry & tough & putting it in the micro wave a bit does nothing for it. I have pkgs in the freezer and will be throwing them out. I will not be ordering from you again but sure would appreciate a refund for this. We were raised on lefse but this was a big disappointment. Lefse as good as it gets

For years we searched for lefse “ like grandma made” . Frankly we spent hundreds of dollars kissing frogs in an attempt to find a prince. Finally, Norsland was recommended to us and we gave it a try. It is simply thrilling to open a package of Norsland lefse and feel the texture of lefse that is properly made. It’s perfect in every way. Texture, taste, and thickness are all perfect. Now, no holiday is celebrated without a plate of Norsland on the table. Try it and I’m confident you’ll agree.

A very good Lefsa. Thin, fresh and tender. With that said, soybean oil is not my favorite. Wish it was made with a healthier or more traditional oil.

I was very disappointed! We won’t be eating it. Unfortunately I have many packages in the freezer that won’t be eaten. -- From Norsland Lefse: Elaine, I’m sorry this missed the mark for you. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have with our lefse. we’d like to make this right. If you’re willing, please contact us directly and let us know the lot number so we can either replace your order with a fresh batch or issue a refund. This lefse is so good - tastes so much more like homemade than any other product I’ve purchased. The only things I would change is the size of the circle. I do, however, think I understand the reason for the large size.

Very generous pieces. I was a little disappointed in that the lefse was a little dried out, possibly from 2-3 day shipping. The taste was good. --- From Norsland Lefse. Thanks, Mary! We recommend microwaving for 10-15 seconds and that restores the original soft texture.
