Myself and my in-laws discovered the herring at a restaurant in Wisconsin. It was served as an appetizer. We couldn't get enough of it. Asked the server the brand name. These were in a wine sauce. Looked for months to get a jar but always out of stock! Bought my in-laws the cream. The Best herring ever!!

The best I've tasted in years...if ever. It was so good, I ordered 2 more jars for the Christmas holidays. The flavor stirs memories of my Swedish family Christmases. Just wish it wasn't so expensive for shipping but I understand Norsland Lefse has little control over that.

Tasty Herring in Cream
Reminds me of the delicious hering ( yes that's how is spelt in Germany). Highly recommend. I would suggest not to order it when it is very hot. UPS facilities and trucks are very hot and melt even excellent refrigerant in insulated packaging on a 2 day journey.

Still the best brand available, excellent herring, sauce so tasty you cound drink it, and somewhat over-abundance of soft sweet-ripe onions. Nevertheless, after ordering this multi times over several years, for the first time I noticed the cutlets seemed smaller in size.
